Sheehy Hockey agents have many years of experience in professional hockey and have experienced its inevitable ups and downs.  We have personally achieved great success and have acquired valuable insight and knowledge that enables us to successfully guide players in their own hockey careers.

Contract Negotiation

    The contract is a very important part of an agent's job and his ability to think intelligently and articulate a player's strengths to general managers with credibility is invaluable to any player.  Sheehy Hockey has tremendous experience and gets outstanding results while preserving much needed relationships for its players.

Investment Counseling

     Sheehy Hockey helps its clients find the best investment professional for each of its clients.  Sheehy Hockey works with several professional investment firms and does not receive any compensation for referrals.  Sheehy Hockey specializes in professional hockey advice and advises players on what it believes is best for the player rather than making a referral to make additional money.

Salary & Grievance Arbitration

     A Sheehy Hockey legal professional prepares with the NHLPA for arbitration.  The professional's duty in arbitration is to help write a brief that educates and persuades an arbitrator to make a salary award more favorable to the player.  A lawyer who actually played in the NHL and understands the game and how a player fits with the team is the best equipped professional to help educate and persuade an arbitrator.

Acquisition of Disability Insurance

      Sheehy Hockey acquires quotes for players upon request to insure their careers against permanent injury.  Sheehy Hockey strongly recommends each player buy coverage because a player never knows when a career-ending injury might happen.  Even though disability insurance is very expensive, it turns out to be very inexpensive if a player's career is ended by an injury that occurs on or off the ice..

U.S. & Canadian Income Tax Preparation
